Madden NFL 2001

Madden NFL 2001 is the best football game I have yet played. One of the big things in this game is how realistic it actually  is. If a real-life player has taped hands or a visor, he will in this game too. The physics have changed and are very realistic. Weight now has a major effect on whether or not you can tackle a man. Coaches will cheer on the team and even argue with the refs if necessary.

John Madden and Pat Summerall commentate the games and they do a great job of it in fact. They are very accurate and stay with every play.

Madden NFL 2001 also added a great new feature that will come in handy. Say your defense lines up expecting a run, then the offensive lines up for a pass. With the tap of two buttons, your defense will prepare for a task. This gets very useful.

There are some glitches, however. A stadium might twitch every now and and then. While it is annoying, it isn't serious. Also, all side-lines players have the same number. This also doesn't really matter that much.

This is the greatest football game yet, I just can't wait for the PS2 version.
