GTA IV: $4 Million in First Week
Analysts have projected that
Rockstar Games can expect to sell $4 million within the first week alone. This would mean
that Grand Theft Auto IV could beat-out Halo 3 to be the best selling video game of
all time.

Microsoft Making Wii-mote Killer?
MTV News reports that Microsoft has been
working on a motion-sensing Xbox 360 controller for some time now, though the project has been
experiencing many difficulties. Microsoft only will respond that they do "not comment on rumors
and speculation."

Microsoft: 'No Blu-ray Xbox360'
More rumors came out again this week
that Microsoft would be releasing a new version of the Xbox 360 with an internal Blu-ray
drive at the end of this year. Microsoft came out yet again and said that there were no plans
to do such a thing. We'll just have to wait and see.

New PlayStation Store in April
Sony will be releasing a
new
redesign of the PlayStation network store in mid-April. The redesign comes after
surveys found consumers
confused with the navigation and interface of the current store model.

PlayStation 3 Gets DTS-HD Audio
Next week's PS3 update will not only
yield a revamped PlayStation Store, but will also have DTS-HD high resolution audio and
DTS-HD Master Audio for the Blu-ray movies.

GTA IV PlayStation 3
For those who were jealous over the
custom GTA IV Xbox 360 Elite that was previously announced, it looks like Sony is planning to attempt to match Microsoft;
a Swedish retailer's website now lists a 40GB PlayStation 3, bundled with a copy of
Grand Theft Auto IV and a decorative box. The bundle is priced at 4,499 SEK ($755),
but
there is no word yet if this bundle will be coming to the United States.

DualShock 3 Coming This Week
It was revealed today that the new
Sony DualShock 3 controller will be released this week (earlier than the originally
stated 'mid-April' date). The current Sixaxis controller will be immediately discontinued
and replaced with this new, motion-sensing, force-feedback controller, retailing for $54.99.

Are Console Platforms Dying?
Ex-Xbox
Executive Sandy Duncan predicted today that dedicated gaming systems will be dead within the next five to ten years and will be replaced
by virtualized web services. Maybe he is a little biased considering he is the CEO of YoYo Games,
and upstart online gaming service.
